ArcSight Paper - Achieving Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard Compliance

As follow-up to our successful Retail & PCI Security Forum in Pittsburgh in late May, I was reading a white paper from Arcsight entitled “Achieving Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard Compliance.” I found the paper to be very informative in helping me better understand several PCI DSS requirements pertaining to logging, auditing, monitoring and visibility.
 
In the paper Arcsight experts help explain several possible ways to comply with 12 specific PCI requirements. They describe how most environments have all the technology and controls in place to comply with these 12 requirements but may be spending too much time to gather and correlate that data to show compliance.  They then present a cost-effective methodology to automate collecting, correlating and reporting the data that helps establish compliance with those 12 PCI DSS requirements.
